Jess Kristen’s style of Watercolor combines a loose and layered technique using watercolor, gouache and acrylic. She developed her style over the last 20 years of drawing animals using a variety of mediums. One of the the most striking things about her paintings is the detail and realism she imparts into her subjects eyes. Many times her customers are amazed by how the image embodies the soul of the subject.

This watercolor portrait is completed on Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper using Daniel Smith, Aquarelle and Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolors.
