Hello!

I am Jess and this little man in my arms is my soul pup, Pippin. I have been a professional photographer for going on 20 years. I graduated from USC School of Cinema-Television in May 2004 and started working as a photographer quickly thereafter. My background is in cinema and documentary photojournalism, capturing real moments and real emotions in beautiful and artistic ways.

I adore animals of all kinds. There is no other subject matter that could inspire me and create such enthusiasm for me in my work. I absolutely love my job and never take any moment for granted. My bond with my pets have been some of the most meaningful and deepest connections I have ever had with any other being on this earth and I cannot thank you enough for allowing me the gift of visually narrating your pet’s story.

In addition to photography, I’m also an artist. I work with watercolor, oil, marker, acrylic and digital. I have also recently got interested with creating glass pieces - mosaic and stained glass. When I’m not getting creative, you can find me hiking out in nature, kayaking around the area or joining my husband, Daniel, to play with our 3 furbabies - Marley, Pippin & Bubo - in our beautiful backyard.

With my photography, I aim not only to acquire a technically beautiful image, but a real moment in time that says every last one of those 1000 words and then some. The best moments will always be real ones - unscripted, spontaneous, genuine and I do my best to dedicate my life in as authentic a way.
